THE FIJI ISLANDS INTERACTIVE CDROM

This presentation is an artistic blend of photos, graphics, sounds, music and video that takes you right into the bures, dining rooms and onto the beaches of the most beautiful resorts Fiji has to offer. Each resort is represented by anywhere from 10 to 25 photos, and some with video (QuickTime 1/4 screen) so travelers can make a very informed decision when planning a luxury vacation, dive trip or honeymoon.

Featured are Matangi Island Resort, Qamea Beach Club, Yasawa Island Resort, Turtle Island Resort, Dive Kadavu Matana Resort, the Princess II, Marlin Bay Resort, Vatulele Island Resort, Toberua Island Resort, Maravu Plantation Resort, Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort and Castaway Island Resort. Air Pacific and Sunflower Airlines are also featured.

From each resort section, the user can link directly to that resort's internet Web page for the most current information, in many cases right from the islands. A page of useful Web links takes the user to other Fiji Web sites that include date and time gateways, currency exchange, weather information and more.

There are two slide shows featuring some of the most beautiful scenery in Fiji. Photographer Peter Henning has contributed more than 100 beautiful photos for use in the presentation.

Also included on the disk are full color stock photos of Fiji, scanned and color corrected. You can use them royalty free on Web sites, in travel agency brochures or for your own personal photo collection. The images are provided in high resolution jpeg format. A series of full color maps of the Fiji Islands can be printed directly from the presentation.

The "Culture" section describes many Fijian traditions, such as the lali, kava, a meke ceremony, lovo feasts and the cannibals in Fiji history. The "Say it in Fijian" page teaches you how to pronounce some important Fijian words.

Compatible with both Macintosh and Windows 95 and 3. 1, the CD-ROM was produced by Bonnie PeInar of Under Watercolours in Irvine, California. The Fiji Islands CD-ROM is available on the internet at www.underwatercolours. com. For more information, call (949) 733-2213.

Even before Under Watercolours was a dream waiting to happen, computer artist Bonnie Pelnar was receiving world wide recognition for her extraordinary computer creations. What became fondly known around Genigraphics as "the red car" Bonnie's 1939 Nash was published in calendars, books and magazines all over the world. This graphic was created on a Genigraphics 100D. (think about it, this was in 1984...before the IBM PC and before the Macintosh!). This graphic along with several others created by Bonnie are still to this day being used by various companies for promotion of their products.

"If I had a nickle for every time I've seen someone use my red car, I'd have an ocean full of nickles! Unfortunately I gave away all my rights to the graphics when I signed my employment agreement with Genigraphics."  This graphic was also used in AV Video Magazine, Digital Design, and Computer Graphics World.
