Yucab & Punta Tunich The next reef south of Tormentos is Yocab Reef.  This is a great second dive, especially if you’re taking pictures or video.  Depth ranges from 50-70 feet and the currents can sometimes be swift.       Keep your eyes open for the white spotted filefish (pictured above). When the currents are slow, you’ll have a the photo opportunities you’ve always dreamed of.    The coral pinnacles are covered with sea fans, gorgonains and sea whips.  Under the coral & sponge overhangs, will be awaiting your entourage of snappers, grunts and margates.   Text and phots by Bonnie Pelnar of Under Watercolours.
